an excessively long Monday
May. 2nd, 2022 09:28 pmWoke up at the disgusting hour of 0615, but it felt like I'd had enough sleep. So I stayed up until 1500, at which point I took a three-hour nap.
Before the nap, though, I opened a free checking account at PenFed, and will shunt a bunch of money to it on Friday. I also made an appointment for a dental exam in Las Vegas on Friday, and booked an appointment at the nearby Best Western Plus, because I really didn't want to fuck around with any of the casinos that might have had (nominally) less expensive rates. Just want to get down there Thursday, knock out the bloggage, see the dentist on Friday morning, and get out of Las Vegas before the evening rush hour.
After the nap, I did the daily bloggage, shaved because the beard was becoming an irritant, and punted laundry until tomorrow. I'll probably do it in the afternoon unless I wake up absurdly early again.
Went back and looked at my last paycheck and the DAR, which should be up to date since it's been almost two weeks since April 18. Looks like Block owes me a little over $6k before taxes, but we'll see Friday how far off I am. I'll get cracking on my CE for next tax season when I get back from the Maybe Balticon Excursion in June.
