From Lithuania to Poland
Sep. 6th, 2022 06:53 pmWeight went up steadily this weekend because I was eating too many carbs and not enough protein. Going to try and get back on the dietary track this week, because having the BG go up with the weight is bad.
Took a couple of swings at Lithuania after giving up on France, but the standard game doesn't have the cool political options that allow you to take over Poland as shown in BIttersteel's video (have to wait until No Step Back goes on sale for that) and the R56 team is still working on those. So I tried Poland instead, and unfortunately have locked myself into the conservative but not Falangist section of the focus tree. I might still be able to unify the Baltics, but the chance for a grand alliance with the Czechs passed me by, and now the best I can hope for is to somehow fend off the Nazis, perhaps by allying with them against the Soviets.
Poor choices for breakfast sent me to bed for a lengthy nap after I finished the catch-up blogging; going to stop by Raley's to pick up a few things before fixing dinner and doing the daily blogging before my series with Pete a little before 2200.
Hotel prices for the Sunday before my appointment with Dr. K are somewhat higher than usual thanks to (I'm guessing) the Life Is Beautiful festival downtown. I need to take another look at the website for Santa Fe Station to see if I can find an inexpensive room there.
