The polls are open, damn it.
Oct. 24th, 2022 08:30 pmI didn't sleep much last night but I did sleep well until the alarm went of at 0700 and I lay there for a minute trying to remember why I set the alarm. Then I remembered - I had to be down at the courthouse by 0900 for the Elections Board. Weight was up, BG was nominal but low, BP was normal.
Unpacked the laundry, got dressed, shaved, fixed coffee, fixed meds, and ordered breakfast from BK since I hadn't run the dishwasher last night. Got out the door a little after 0830, so after stuffing breakfast in my face I was a few minutes late, but no matter - they weren't ready to roll until 0930 anyway. We were on the clock from 0900-1200, and again from 1300-1700, and my God, was it mind-numbing. Still, $10/hour is $10/hour, and having a daily routine will force me to get stuff done in a timely fashion - like my CE, which I have been putting off and putting off until Elizabeth has had to remind me that the deadline is effectively November 28. Time to buckle down and finish the goddamn AFSP and the small business courses Anne recommended.
BG was above the limit by 1 when I came home, so I decided to fix dinner after I got done blogging, which I just did. Took the insulin before blogging, though.
Had two games against the Red Sox and split them. Managed to beat Niekro in the first game, lost to Billingham in the second. I should be able to wipe the floor with that guy, but none of my hitters seem to be able to touch him. Three games against Philly on Friday, ugh.
Well, time to fix some soup and see if I can finish the AFSP, at least the lesson part of it. It's much more boring than I remember it being last year. Still, six hours of CE is six hours of CE.
