It begins again
Jan. 4th, 2023 01:02 amI logged into Amp today, clocked in, found that Appointment Manager was broken and there was nothing in the mailbox but a to-do list from the district manager. I ordered my business cards and will check the list again tomorrow. Friday I have a small business class at 8 AM, ugh. Next week I'll actually start looking at Work Center to see if I have any work. I see from Elizabeth's e-mail that there's going to be more bodies at Damonte Ranch this year, so who knows, I might not have to go up there after all.
Weight was slightly up but BG was normal and so was BP. Had a flax muffin with oatmeal for breakfast along with an English muffin and the usual coffee. Since I woke up around 0600 and ate at 0800, I was hungry again by 1300 and had a couple of peanut butter sandwiches. This raised my blood sugar quite a bit by dinner time, when I had turkey and what was left of the mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. Drank a lot of tea and other fluids today, so we'll see how everything looks in the morning.
Lacking gumption, I didn't go out for groceries today, though in truth I didn't have to, and the 5% senior discount wasn't enough to pry me away from Civilization: Beyond Earth, which despite its shortcomings is better than Alpha Centauri since you have more freedom to pick your ideology and path to victory instead of being shackled to whatever deranged future your character is assigned. Tech trees have also mutated into a tech web, which makes things a little harder to find, but fortunately there's a good search function. Minor annoyances: you can't edit the faction leader's name or the city names. Welp.
Tomorrow I think I'll go out, pick up my stuff from the post office, do a little shopping, and do some more cleaning up.
