On Monday the wombat found stuff
Jan. 31st, 2023 09:10 amWeight was down this morning thanks to having salad from the Chop Shop for lunch and chicken salad for dinner. Probably would have lost more weight if I'd had the plain chicken salad without the fruit in it, but I was cheap and got the fruity stuff. Still, it's headed in the right direction. Waking BG was nominal and BP was normal.
Found the old black name badge in the bottom of the work bag after unsuccessfully looking for it there since Saturday, got an office key from Elizabeth, and did several returns, most of which were 1040EZ equivalents. It all counts toward the bonus, which I am going to wait to start tracking for another week or so. Managed to hang in there until about 1930, at which point Jerry suggested I punch out if I was done, so I did. Went straight back to the hotel (forgot the blender bottle), ate dinner, did the daily bloggage, and crashed around 1100. Woke once, briefly, to use the can and drink water, but then went back to bed and slept until the alarm went off at 0800. Thought about sleeping in and then thought better of it.
Breakfast here at the Staybridge is mostly unimpressive and bland, and since I'm getting reimbursed $15 for breakfast I might as well go to Peg's. I considered Huckleberry's, but after looking at their menu I decided otherwise; it is full of hideous Cajun fusion cuisine and fail. I might occasionally hit Jack, Carl's Jr., Maverik or Dunkin for breakfast, but I think Peg's will be the breakfast place of choice. Sure, I'll be paying a few dollars more than Block will reimburse me, but it'll be worth it.
Time to shave, get dressed, have some leftover coffee and insulin, sort out my pills, and head to Peg's for a leisurely breakfast.
Collected a two-day suspension on Reddit for suggesting that Jack Phillips' Colorado judges should be impaled. Welp.
Beat Civ:BE on the Soyuz level as the Brazilians with the Promised Land victory. I think this might have been the first game where none of the AI players went to war against me, despite several messages indicating that they found me weak.
