Weight was down this morning, BG was normal, and BP was down. A little.

Unlike last year, when I could just dive into the AFSP exam, this year I have to plod through several sections of stuff before I can tackle the exam. Bother. Started on that today and will pick it up again tomorrow.

The appearance of LDS missionaries on the doorstep motivated me to shave, throw out garbage, and venture forth to the Central Nevada Museum, where I bought postcards and did stuff with the portal there before heading to the Family Dollar (via Logan Field) where I got razor blades (the last pack of Barbasols they had), some Lance crackers, more Wyler's lemonade, and a USB cord to recharge the Fire and move The Thin Blue Line onto it. Also a Diet Coke to keep me hydrated while I was out throwing links and fields. Came home, scanned it all in, started on the AFSP thing, and began fixing dinner while starting on the blogging since I was expecting to play Pete's Pilots at 1800.

He asked if we could postpone until 1930, which I did, not that it did me any good. He swept all three games, and only one of them was even close. Dierker and Marichal both sucked, nobody could hit, and all of Pete's banjo hitters teed off on my pitchers while mine couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a shotgun. Third game, I started Brabender because for some reason I couldn't find Joe Coleman to start, and Bender was okay for two innings before imploding and handing the Pilots a 6-2 lead. I think it ended with a 9-4 loss after I brought Hannan, Moore, and maybe Bouton in. Just a horrible series; we should have been able to pound the shit out of all Pete's pitchers, but nope.

Most recent ROC run ended in misery as the Japs stalled on the Yellow River after knocking out the Shanxi Clique; I didn't have enough subs to go around, and they landed down by the border with the Guanxi Clique and worked their way up to Nanking from there, and that was all she wrote. Guess I'll try it again tomorrow.
