An unpleasant drive

Well, it wasn't as bad as this drive last year, but there was lots of rain and lots of wind, so I was doing 60 for most of the run as opposed to the 70-75 I usually hit between the small towns on 95.
The post office had my Ozempic, some other drug I forgot to bring in from the car, a couple of books (one from Martin, one from Amazon which I'm 99% sure is Spy x Family Volume 4) and best of all my new CCCU debit card, which I promptly activated...once I was at the Shell and able to get signal. Put 9 gallons of regular into the Kia ($4.60 after Fuel Rewards discount, FJB) which proved to be the right choice because gas was $4.99 at the Rebel in Beatty and $5.25 at the Terrible's in Indian Springs. After picking up the obligatory tea, chicken salad sammiches, and Diet Coke at Raley's, I was off.
Stopped only once, at Eddieworld in Beatty, because I needed to take a monumental dump, and I bought some tropical trail mix on the way out. Kept driving through the rain and the wind and the dark until I finally reached the Stratosphere. I managed to check in at the robot, which this time dispensed my key, so up to the 23rd floor I went. Unpacked, set up the laptop, moved the laptop and the desk lamp so I could see the keyboard, and then got on the phone, fired up the Carl's Jr. app and ordered a Really Big Carl combo with fried zucchini on the side. They were out of Diet Coke when I went to get it, but they had Diet Dr. Pepper and that was even better.
Knocked out the catchup blog for Monday, and now I think I'm going to call it a night and crash, since I need to be up at 0700 (preferably earlier) to hit the Omelet House before training starts. Or maybe I'll just hit Carl's Jr. for breakfast and then get some Claritin-D and tea at the Walgreens on Charleson & Las Vegas. Decisions, decisions. Also, all my cables (except a USB-B > C) apparently got left in Tonopah somehow.
