Back on the mountain

wombat_sochoGained a little weight in Nashville, but now that I'm back home and eating more of what I should/less of what I shouldn't, it's coming off again. Some of the BG were nominal while I was on the road with a couple of exceptions, but now that I'm home they are trending down. Didn't take the BP meter on the road but those have been normal since I got back. So, even with the stop at Waffle House on my way to the con, and a yuge dinner at O'Charley's, I managed to do okay.
Technical issues with the new monitor continued until on the advice of LVCR, I gave up, unplugged the Toshiba, and plugged the HP from work into the DisplayPort slot using the accompanying cable. We established that the DP/DVI cable I got from Amazon was shit, so I got credit for it and trashed it; it will be replaced with an HDMI/DVI plug which will arrive next week, as Prime shipments do. Despite the lack of cooperation from the Optiplex and the monitors, I managed to get several returns done yesterday and finished off three more today. There's nothing in the fulfilment bucket, but I may get some work tossed my way. Here's hoping.
Tuesday I went out and collected all my stuff from the post office; it all arrived in one unpleasantly heavy box, and as usual the shelving was (1) a bitch to set up, and (2) not high enough to elevate the Toshiba over the Optiplex box, so I wound up using a different box to raise it to a useful level. As previously mentioned, the DP/DVI cable was bad, and the two USB cables are surplus to my needs at the moment but will come in handy if I go back to Reno in April.
Yesterday I went to Raley's and blew $75 on sundry meats, frozen meals, tea, eggs, soup, and some other household necessities. Managed to forget yeast, but I don't really need that right now. So last night's dinner was a package of pulled pork and a couple of tortillas, and that was enough.
I probably should go out and do laundry tonight, but I don't think I will, since it's still going to be freezing tonight and tomorrow's going to be warmer. Might sweep out the bathroom in preparation for mopping tomorrow. Management was going to inspect the apartment while I was gone, and apparently they thought it had improved enough not to complain some more.
