Don't I know it. One of them fired me last year. I can tell you in the short-run it really messed me up, but I'm sure in the long run it was a damn good thing. Life is too short to work with a bunch of jerks, although I guess it might beat becoming a bag lady.

Yeah, it's an ugly choice - get your head warped by other peoples' negativity or rediscover the dubious pleasures of poverty. That was life at the Evil Banking Neighbor for a couple of years post-divorce, but it got better.
