Well, not everything sucks this morning. Apparently all the swimming and hiking back & forth to the Caribou was good for a loss of 4+ pounds, which brings me down to 413.6 pounds and a net loss of 9.2 pounds over this cycle of Weight Watchers. I owe it all to FitDay.com, really, although my kids deserve some credit for getting me into the pool every Sunday. I expect next week after the moving party I'll probably be under 410, especially if I can avoid gorging myself at the OMGWTFBBQ 2.0. Tough job, but I think I'm up to it.

hang in there brother, it'll work. They keep telling me I have to re-think my eating patterns, I suppose they are right, I'm juat not quite ready. I'm closer than you, but I'm still about 300lbs, maybe 5 lbs above. I think I would be quite happy if I got back to 250, and would be at my ideal if I got to 215

Oh, it definitely works. "The main thing is not to lose your nerve," as Peter Owensford says in Pournelle & Stirling's Helot Rebellion novels. Right now I just want to work on getting back under 400, and then I'll think about the next step. I didn't put all these pounds on overnight, and I expect to be punching away at this for a few years to come.
