An art/Photoshop question

I know some of (hell, quite a few of you) on my f-list are adept with Photoshop, GIMP, and other graphics-twiddling software, and I Has A Question.

Would it be possible to take a photo (say, this one) and make it look more like line art through use of a filter or other easy-to-abuse effect? If it takes a lot of work, don't bother, because this is just going to be button art if it works out. If it doesn't work out, I'll have to think of some other image to rip off use.

Sketch is closer to what I had in mind...ideally, I'd like something along the lines of a manga version of Flashheart (we know there has to be one, what with Rule 34B and all, to say nothing of the Japanese interest in things English) but I'll settle for a cheap imitation.

I know PhotoShop has a number of filters that can do funky things with photos. I'd say just play around with them. But make a copy of the file to play with, so you don't ruin your original.

That's half the problem - I don't have a copy of PS myself, and I long ago gave my copy of Paint Shop Pro to phoenixalpha. So since I don't want to spend 9000 hours in MS Paint on this project...
