Bay's Corollary strikes again

Today I split my work day 90/10 between Convergence and the Evil Banking Neighbor, because it turns out the publications head doesn't have a copy of Access and the laughably misnamed Full Detail Report doesn't include important details like what time the panel actually happens. So I spent about seven and a half hours copying, pasting and editing said report into a Word file arranged by days and timeslots and proofing it for spelling and obvious grammatical errors before e-mailing it off. I'm debating whether I want to spend this evening editing it further, but not too serously, because just thinking about it makes my jaw clench. I know there will have to be changes, but there will be no major changes if I can help it.

I think I'm going to kill some rats for an hour and then go to bed.

Er, I hate to mention this after you spent a bunch of time on it -- but that's what you can use the web report for -- I don't think I used the full detail report very often at all, because it was junk. I just copied the web report into word or excel and off it goes...

It's all right - if I hadn't been hacking that report, I would have been twiddling my thumbs or reading the GoonFleet forums or something even less constructive. No blame attaches to you, man - you've done quite a bit more for us than I ever expected after moving on to IT, and if you forgot to mention a feature that only gets used once a year at the end of the cycle, well, nobody's perfect. It's cool.
