Up until 0130 this morning with jamestrainor over at Claycon Part Deux getting killed at UT2004. I could probably develop some decent skill at it (or at least attain the same level of mediocrity I've reached in HALO) but this is just for fun and I don't play it often enough to spend a lot of time and effort on it. We'll be going back over tonight for more of the same.

Today's pretty much a wasted/leisure day...I thought about going out to the Park Tavern for the get-together mentioned here, but eventually blew it off...I don't really know any of those people, don't really have time to get to know them, and this year I'm just a casual fan. It would have boiled down to spending the afternoon in a bar with a bunch of strangers watching the Twins, and there's bars closer to home I can do that in, I guess.

Your first point is HUGE.

The part that gets me is the reporters that actually do ask the questions of the troops looking for the answers that agree with the whole "Iraq is in shambles" bit. They are asking thousands of troops these questions, and the moment they manage to get a couple of troopers griping (as all troopers have done since the dawn of time) it makes front page news on the New York Times that the troops are against the war. They'll igonore thousands of troopers that disagree with them because they are "too close", but a few that gripe are the "feelings of those that put their lives at risk every day".

MSM reporters support liberal politicians at a ratio of 9 to 1 over conservatives, and people actually believe that there isn't a bias in the mainstream media??? They bitch that FOX is too conservative? At least with FOX the people tell you "I am a conservative", or "I am a liberal" or "I am an independent", and everyone has their say.

They've been this way pretty much since Vietnam, if not the JFK assassination. There are exceptions (Michael Fumento, John Stossel, Don Surber, Jules Crittenden, and oddly enough the fellow who was the New York Times Iraq correspondent until recently) but by and large most of journalists these days are with the New Left.

What makes me laugh are the people who insist that the media are actually conservative. What color is the sky in their world?
