Gee, what a surprise.

Basic function of iPhone pretty much useless since AT&T/Cingular sucks.
Crazed Apple users love phone anyway.
This is the sort of psychotic behavior that keeps me firmly rooted in the Palm/cellphone camp, to say nothing of sticking with Wintel boxes. Who wants to be identified with people like this? Not me, that's for damn sure. (Jane Galt)

Date: 2007-07-03 08:45 pm (UTC)From my own standpoint (Macs for productivity, Windows for farting around, no Apple TV or iPhone because I only buy Apple's *good* products such as Powerbooks and iPods), this is hilarious. Sticking with the known suckage and constant pain of Windows is somehow better than using a superior OS that might lump you in with a bunch of fanboys? This sounds more than anything like a masochistic stubborn streak...
I want my phone to make calls, and it's nice if you can sync the phone book via bluetooth so it gets backed up. Beyond that... I don't need it to take (crappy) pictures, play movies, music, games, etc. It's a phone fer chrissake. I also don't see the point of the palm. Spiral bound notepads and pens are cheap and plentiful, and I'm never *that* far away from my laptop.
Oh yeah, I'm about to be a former Stinkular customer. Either VZ or Sprint it's going to be next.
They haven't been *good* since the old AT&T Wireless buyout and finally their customer service has pissed me off enough that I'm outta here.
Try a Mac sometime and free up the time and money you spend tracking down nastyware for more constructive uses. Trust me, nobody will mistake you for the pinheads who buy anything that has an Apple logo on it.

I tend to lose notepads and Post-It notes too often for my peace of mind. Having a $300 TX serving as my spare brain forces me to pay attention. Agreed that most phones have way too much functionality built into them; I could do without the camera and games on the Katana.
