Paying bills, part I
Aug. 1st, 2022 09:43 pmStarted the month down to 385. BP was good and BG was normal.
I thought about making bread and doing my CE, but never got around to either one; instead I fiddled with HOI, where things are...odd. The Japanese never got around to invading, so I set about the subjugation of the warlords while Manchukuo rebelled against the Japs. Having convinced the Guangshi Clique to bend the knee and crushed the Shanshi Clique, I then found myself unable to reduce Yunnan and Xibei San Ma since they too had joined the Allies against Japan. After a couple of abortive thrusts into Manchuria, I gave it up as a bad job (with the exception of crushing Mengkukuo) until such time as I can deploy another couple of armies (maybe an entire army group) to help crush the Japs and then maybe puppet the Manchurians in the peace treaty somehow.
The VA disability dropped today; I used about half of it to take care of the over-limit amount on the Capital One card and went to Raley's with the other half, which I didn't spend all of; the only $5 sale stuff I wanted were the Johnsonville brats & sausages. I also bought two slabs of chicken thighs for about $10 each, which I will cook in the crockpot along with the Italian sausages. Maybe I'll throw some of the onions in as well.
It rained most of the weekend, and I didn't go out until Sunday, when I really needed to do laundry. This I then did, while doing some Ingress and eating a taco salad at the Stage Stop while things were in the washer. It continued raining a little bit today, but not nearly as much as Sunday, when it was all tall cows and flat rocks.
