Still no heat pump joy
Nov. 9th, 2023 11:17 pmWell, if the heating guys came while I was gone, they didn't do anything, because the thermostat and fan box are still flashing the same CH05 code they were earlier in the week. I fired up the space heater under the desk and the one in the bedroom as well, and six hours later it's comfy enough.
Being unsure about the state of my credit, I eschewed the usual breakfast at Omelet House and just headed on home after packing up my shit and checking out (a few minutes late) of the Stratosphere. I did stop at Murphy's on Craig because Maverik was too far out of the way, and then swung by Dunkin where I cashed in a bunch of reward points to get something more solid for breakfast. One last stop at Walmart on West Tropical for a pasta pot, Benadryl, and a Diet Coke, and that was it until Amargosa Springs when I stopped for a bathroom break, a Diet Coke from the fountain, and a chicken salad sandwich. That got me home, and kept me full until almost 2100 when I had a bowl of soup, some toast, and some crackers.
Since coming home, I've finished a tax update course left over from last year (which probably won't count), paid my $35 to Block Academy, and signed up for the AFTR so I can knock out 6 of my CE hours and qualify for the AFSP. I have to bear down and get my CE taken care of since they need to be finished by 11/28. Elizabeth is doing a meet and greet on 12/2 at the office in Reno and I might be able to afford that, even with my wound care appointment on the day before Thanksgiving...am considering staying over Wednesday and just eating Thanksgiving dinner at Main Street Station or something. Of course then I have to drive home afterward...so idk.
