Damned if I know where it is
Nov. 12th, 2023 11:59 pmAfter using one of my Capitol One credit cards Thursday to sign up for CE through Block Academy, I stayed in all day Friday and got a whole lot of nothing done. Well, okay, I did take out some garbage and bring in the laundry & pasta pot from the car, and that was the extent of my productivity.
Saturday I decided to go hit the post office to clean out the box and then take advantage of the sales at Raley's, but I couldn't find my wallet. Apparently I had failed to put it back in my pocket...or it had fallen out someplace. I spent much of Saturday looking in the chair, next to the chair, next to my bed...no luck. The search resumed today as I excavated the mess under my desk and found all kinds of things...but not the wallet. So I gave up, bricked the Capital One and USAA cards as well as the CCCU debit card, ordered replacements for all of the above plus the NSB debit card, and tomorrow I'll call about the Emerald Card. No doubt the wallet will show up in the next couple of days, Murphy being the sadistic fuck he is, which will keep me from having to get a new driver's license and VA ID, but I'm not betting on it.
I did the weekend blogging in a timely fashion, and the rest of my time that wasn't spent cleaning or searching was spent conquering the world (or trying to) as the Mayans in Civ5. I already have the achievement. but trying to beat it on level 4 is fun too.
Tomorrow I'll get stuck into the AFTR and the ethics CE. I have some flex remaining on a couple of my credit cards, but no way to get at it for the things I need to do here in town. Bah.
