Crawling forth from the burrow

After 3-4 days of ghastly illness (probably a really bad cold)  I finally got up this morning and went out to Hometown Pizza and the post office, from which I returned with the doxycycline Dr. Lal had promised and a shitload of bandages, tape, Tubigrip, etc, which among other things adds to the pile of boxes. Well, I think I'll go out tomorrow and Monday, put up 3x5 cards at Raley's and the bulletin board outside Hometown Pizza advertising free boxes, and see how long it takes people to reduce the pile. 

Didn't go out Friday, but I did pay all the bills. Closed up the holes in the NSB account, paid down most of the credit cards, and if I am very very careful, I may be able to afford to do the drive to Las Vegas next Thursday for various VA-related appointments. 

Finished off the last of the ham & pasta salad and am already thinking of making another batch later in the month. I really need to get a replacement for the salad bowl cover, since it's cracked in a couple of places and doesn't seal well. 

Lost two out of three to the A's last night; the sole win was Marichal's 22nd. 

Spent most of the day after coming home from the post office playing Civicrack. Still haven't won with the Incas.
