Okay, I'm home now

Got a good night's sleep except for waking up at 0500 ravenously hungry; ate two yogurts and a fig bar, drank some water, read some of the Appendices to Volume III of The Histories, and then went back to sleep until the alarm woke me at 0930.
Weight was horrible. I packed on six pounds while I was out east, most likely from an excess of Shweetz, and this is probably why my BP sucked as well. At least my waking BG was nominal, on the low side. Had a flax muffin and coffee for breakfast and that was it.
I did in fact take the Uber up to the VA and got a box of syringes, so I only missed one day of insulin. It didn't kill me, though of course my numbers were ugly until I was able to get a day's worth of insulin in me. Ordered some hate chikuns for dinner; what with delivery charges and all it cost me about what going down to the grill at the Rio would have cost me. Room service breakfast was also hella expensive. Won't be doing that again.
I waited until Friday morning to check out and get the Kia, because I wasn't sure how much I was going to have to shell out and all my bank accounts were in flux, but it turned out I needn't have - apparently they gave me a freebie on the oil change and A/C check. So I loaded my stuff into the Kia and headed off to NSB to cover the hole in that account. From there I went to Murphy Express to fill up ($5.10/gallon. Fuck you, Joe Biden.) and then stupidly went across the street to the Chinese restaurant for some Combination Kung Pao (good) New York Egg Rolls (more like mini burritos, not great) and Crab Rangoon (good) washed down with a couple cans of Diet Coke. This messed me up for a good part of the afternoon as I had problems with microsleep on my way up 95.
Because it was unpleasantly hot (100+) I flogged the feeble A/C into action and headed out of town without stopping at Sam's Club or Walmart; after all, I'll be back next week to get the second deep cleaning. Stopped briefly at Terrible's to hit the can and buy fluids, after which I drove straight through to Goldfield, where I stopped again to tap my kidneys. Somewhere between Scotty's Junction and Goldfield temperatures dropped into the 80s, so I turned off the A/C and opened the windows, which probably got me an extra 2 MPG despite going uphill.
By the time I got home and lugged my bags upstairs, it was after 1800 and I was pretty wiped. I posted an abbreviated link post, ate some lasagna, and played some Civicrack to unwind before I went to bed around midnight.
Today, I'll hit the post office to pick up accumulated mail (including my new glasses from the VA) and then stop by Raley's to pick up a few things. I don't think I'll be doing First Saturday, but I might do some Ingress stuff. Or not.
